Håholmen: Authentic Coastal Experiences Rooted in Rich History

Beskrivelse

Information

The historic fishing village of Håholmen in Nordmøre has been a meeting point, harbour, home, and workplace for fishermen, sailors, traders, and seafarers for centuries. Today, it is run by the Classic Norway hotel group.

Unspoiled Surroundings Wrapped in History

Håholmen offers a unique experience, both from nature’s side and through human history. The outer side of the island forms a final frontier against the open sea, while the inner side features a beautiful natural harbour, well-protected from the elements. With 25 original buildings—some dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries—Håholmen resembles an intimate village full of coastal heritage. The cluster of houses includes a main building, hotel rooms, a tavern, and a restaurant. The 47 rooms are spread across several buildings and offer private bathrooms with showers, but no TVs—encouraging guests to truly unwind and relax. Specializing in hosting business groups from Norway and abroad, Håholmen provides an ideal environment for building strong relationships with clients, partners, and employees in peaceful surroundings.

An Adventure Haven

Beyond its natural beauty and historic atmosphere, Håholmen is a rare adventure paradise. From RIB and sea eagle safaris to fishing trips, kayaking, mountain hikes, cycling, rappelling, and beer tasting, the island offers a rich menu of activities.
